Ezugi expands in New Jersey through Caesars deal

Ezugi, a live casino provider owned by Evolution, has expanded its presence in the US into the state of New Jersey through a partnership with Caesars Entertainment.

Through the agreement, Ezugi has launched its live dealer games in the state through Caesars' online casino and sportsbook. The titles include American Blackjack, American Roulette, Baccarat and Three Card Poker. The games are streamed live from Ezugi’s studio in the Garden State.

Commenting on the launch, Monica Umana, VP of America at Ezugi, said: “Caesars is one of the biggest names in the casino industry and we are delighted to be offering our games to its players in New Jersey.

“Our live casino games have proved to be hugely popular with players in the Garden State and we look forward to providing the same superior experience to players at Caesars Casino & Sports New Jersey.”

Gaming provider Evolution completed its acquisition of Ezugi in September last year. The all-cash deal was completed with an initial consideration of $12m.

Commenting on the acquisition at the time, Evolution said the value of the deal was in its ability to strengthen the company’s existing position in the US. In addition, Evolution now benefits from Ezugi’s additional studio capacity as well as resources in development.

For Q3 2020, Evolution’s operating revenue increased by 48% year-on-year, to €140m ($166.7m).
