Robert Campbell has created history as now he has become the first player to claim multiple bracelets at the 2019 World Series of Poker. The Australian poker pro won in Event #67: $10,000 Stud Hi-Lo Championship after outplaying a field of 151 players. He also claimed his second gold of the season and $385,763 as grand prize.
The last day came down to 16 players and a total of eight players played the final table. Campbell outplayed Steven Wolansky and his journey ended at 8th position and he claime $36,460. When there were only seven players remaining, China’s Qinghai Pan led the chip count. The next player to it the rail was Andrey Zigalov whose pair of sevens didn’t work and he lost to Yuequi Zhu’s buried jacks. Zhigalov won $46,999 after he finished at 7th place. Pan hit the rail in the sixth place and he got knocked out after winning $62,079 for his ever WSOP final table. Ryan Hughes followed Pan and he finished on 5th position.
It didn’t take long for the following player to fall as Wattel failed to better his cards. Wattel left with $164,647 as the third spot finisher, leaving Campbell and Zhu in heads-up play.
The chip bit of leeway was with Campbell when heads-up play began, and he figured out how to expand it further in the wake of winning most of pots. At the point when the last hand was managed, Campbell was holding an enormous chip lead.
